No one has posted here for a very long time, but if there are still any readers I have a drawing to post.

I used a photo that I took of Patrick in 2009, you can read more about it (and see a larger image) on my blog The Crafty Magpie. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm newish here but I have a question. I feel like this has been posted here before, but here it goes. Is the unicorn tattoo on Patrick's chest real? Because I've seen him with it and I've seen him without it and I don't know the chronological order of the pictures so I'm not real.... any help would be appreciated!

So this is my interpretation of Jacob's Ladder. It's a bit rough, as I wanted it to be. And the person of the magazine cut is someone of Friendly Fires, I just picked him because he was looking upwards.

Hi! As my first post here, I'm supposed to introduce myself, so here goes:

My name's Morgan, but most people know me as either "Miyamashi" or "Da' Morgie". I'm a 21-year old animation major from Texas, and I hate when people assume that I'm hick because of where I'm from. Quite the opposite, actually. I first found PW through a fanmix of one of my favorite anime characters, which included "Tristan". I fell in love with the song, and then looked up the artist and became practically obsessive, haha. since I only found Patrick very recently (back in December of last year, I think?), I've sadly never gotten to see him live, though I really want to. In the meantime, I'm waiting for his next album(s), and slowly getting everyone I know addicted to his music. Wind in the Wires is my favorite of his albums, though I don't really have a Patrick Wolf song that I don't like.

While listening to "A Boy Like Me" (which I've only recently realized I love), I got inspired randomly to draw a chibified Patrick riding a giraffe. ("I wanna buy a lighthouse, and ride a giraffe on the rocks!") I'm eventually planning on cleaning the quick pensketch up, and adding the lighthouse and rocks. I love his happy expression, and my stick-giraffe.

A couple of days later, I needed to practice drawing big expressions for an animation project, and decided to use the expression from the Patrick-and-Giraffe pic to do it. What came out of it is a pic that makes me exceedingly happy every time I look at it. It's stylized, so it's not a completely realistic portrait, but I think I did a pretty good job capturing his essence. I hope you agree!

Pics linked to DeviantART.

This was originally done in paint by Patrick's mother Imelda Apps. I used chalk Pastels instead because I prefer them on small scale pieces.
I made this image because I was doing a study on Imelda Apps at school but I decided to post it on here aswell. It's no where near as good as some of the other works on glitter wolf but I'm only first year GCSE so I have an excuse =p.

Btw this is my first post and I don't really know how this works so please excuse me for any mistakes.

Thanks
Caldy x

I like to draw people while listening to Patrick so, many times, I end up drawing Patrick himself.

I made this a while back and posted it on the Wolf forum but forgot to post it here! I'm not a big fan of this piece (suffices to say that it is lying in my closet), but it was a good learning experience to try and use all these different materials

3d clothes and thereminCollapse )

Hope you all have a very happy holiday season full of ice skating, egg nog, hot chocolate, warm fires and snow!

Hello! :) I got bored today and randomly took a tee and started drawing Patrick Wolf on it. But I am rather upset cause it turned out REALLY terrible, and it looks nothing like him. It looks awful, but I decided to post anyway.Collapse )

Haha, I am SO ashamed. ;_;

Hello all, this is my second post..well I was inspired by his song "The Stars" and there was this picture in his album so I drew it from there and added some star stickers, some blue glitter and I used liquid paper for his skin colour.

Hello all, quick introduction: My name is Erica and I live in Toronto. I'm 19 and a second year English Lit major. I haven't done anything artistic in a couple of years, but I really wanted to do this. Anyway I'm aware that Patrick didn't write the magpie rhyme, but it's nonetheless inspired by his song. Also, I'm by no means a photographer, so please don't judge it on the bad photography :p

I used modelling paste and a stencil for the letters, acrylic paint, tissue paper and watercolour pencils on canvas.

This is heavily inspired by the song Underworld. I loved the song at first.. eh.. hearing, but I only listened to the lyrics after a few times. And that made me adore the song even more. After all I drew this scene, representing the crack in the floor. Made with pencils.
